Hi!
We've just released "Passwords of 2073: Phrase Pass" for the Android. It includes all of the phrases from the "Macrosoft" network in "Hackers of 2073".
The application is $0.99 and is now available in the Android Store. |

Asking for Comments
One thing that's been lacking from the total experience of releasing Hackers has been feedback. As you might guess from looking at our forum no one has posted comments in favor of, hated the game or just plain indifferent about it. This condition has also extended to the publishers of casual games and game reviewers. We have been accepted by a total of five publishers and been reviewed once but this is only a fraction of the overall number of publishers and reviewers we've submitted to. I had a list of 15 reviewers I sent queries to and I know William had at least half that many on his list. And William has submitted to ALL the publishers that are active on the net, three months ago.
What's the deal here? Is everybody asleep at the wheel? Has the market become so over-saturated that this is the norm? To be honest the lack of response has been akin to Chinese water torture.
So the only people we have left to turn to are our customers. To those who have purchased the game, or even tried the demo, and might one day cruise through these forums, please drop a comment on the game. Good, bad or other doesn't matter, just something to show us the market hasn't totally ignored us.

Version 1.1 Changes
Here is a summary of the most important fixes:
- New Audio: "Black IC Initialized" when BlackIC is created.
- Audio/Video options saved.
- "Clear" button added to Dual Snakes.
- Image Pass, Phrase Pass, and Pattern puzzles won't repeat until they've all been seen.
- Daemon erases numbers only.
- Symmetric waveform added to SonarHack.
- All PNGs compressed using PNGOut (a lossless compression)
- More particles on password screen, less CPU processing.
- Harder Phrase Pass puzzles created for Insane!
- More components on the final Holo Projector.
- No more crashing on Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Del.
- Game auto-saves after each password cracked.
- Better fullscreen support.
- NetworkLink puzzles ever-so-slightly easier.
There were several other fixes, but they mostly dealt with the engine details.

Version 1.1 was supposed to be ready for today, but there is still one stability bug in Windows Vista and a text entry bug on the Apple Mac. Expect the latest version either later today or early tomorrow morning.
If you purchased Version 1.0, email us (query at machinecodegames dot com) with a copy of your order form (or the account you used and other identifying information like your city/state/zip) and once we've verified the sale, we'll send you a link to the new version.
We'll write up another post here and on the main page to let everybody know when the new version is ready. |

Wanna Skip The Tutorials?
You may not be ready to move on from the Easy difficulty, but you no longer need the tutorials.
The simplest way to do this is to select the "CUSTOM" difficulty. If you click on "Options", you'll see that every game is already set to "Easy". Now click on "Start"! The tutorial only appears when the difficulty is specifically set to "Easy". |

Black Screen? Update Drivers!
There have been some issues with the game where the screen will remain black.
This was solved by getting the latest drivers for the video card.Typically, going to update.microsoft.com and selecting "Hardware" on the left will show any updated drivers that your machine may need. |
